I have been tasked with creating a Planned Maintenance policy as we are trying to determine what is considered Planned Maintenance and what is considered part of Change Control.

I am not having much luck finding Maintenance as it's own ITIL Service, as I'm guessing it is not but rather fits into many of the services.

Could anyone suggest if they are using Planned Maintenance on it's own or what part of the ITIL process it would fall under? I'm thinking it is more of a process that involves Change control rather than it's own policy.

Planned maintenance is an operational concept.
Change management will use PM to schedule work

the PM must be included in the service agreement and discounted in any SLA related calculations as it is not working hours
