Definition of a CSI Item

Hi,

Would someone be able to give me a definition of a CSI Item? It when something becomes an CSI item and when it's merely a task?

Regards,

What should differenciate a CSI Item and a Task?

Hi, We (the IT dept where I work) have created a CSI register, which includes a Problem Statement and a goal. We also have a team / process owner task list. What should define what is a task and what is a CSI Item? I.e. should a CSI item be something that adds effectiveness, efficency or saves money...

Thank you.

There actually is one which I have came across. You may need to sharpen up on your knowledge as you may not be as bright as you think you are.

If you've nothing positive to contribute please do not waste my time.

Obviously you do not have sufficient knowledge to appropiately respond to my query.

Hi, Can someone point me in the direction of a good CSI register template and list what the essential column headers are? I have obtained one from the ITIL CSI book but it's very basic. I'm also having problem categorising metrics and determining how I should record if the CSI Initiative was a succe...

ITIL Continual Service Improvement

I'm the CSI process owner within my organisation and the process is only in place just over 1 year. Currently the process is limited to the ITIL team within the organisation and Service Improvements are based on each of the ITIL processes. It's my objective to roll the process out to operational tea...

Ok. I think in my case i'll boserve the service improvement that the stakeholder is proposing, base it on the suggested acceptance criteria and use a "common sense" approach base on my judgement of the proposal. On the register it would then be categorised by a method of delivery i.e. Project requir...

Hi Diarmid, Thanks for your input, very good feedback. In your opinion, for example if you were the gatekeeper of the CSI Register and were having a one to one with a process owner who wanted to add something to the register, would you ask them to demonstrate evidence against each of the acceptance ...

CSI Register Acceptance Criteria

Hi All, I'm currently the process owner of CSI within our organisation and we currently have a CSI register in place. Currently all process owners (Change, Problem etc) meet with me on an ad hoc basis, I review what they want to put it on the register and then normally it's added. We've a stage 2 IS...

Hi Diarmid, Many thanks for the response and i'll bear what you have stated in mind - very good advice. Basically the Status will confirm the "state" that software is in at any given time. The troube is i'm struggling with options for the Status of software, ie how would you give it a Status of " no...
