I have a question. How have you implemented Agile+ITIL from an infrastructure perspective? Do your infrastructure folk operate agile as part of the project in the "DevOps" way? If so how do you handle having two places to log your work? In our case we have an ITSM tool to log incidents and operational work, and a ALM to log project work. This has pros and cons. What was your solution?

Project work is project work
Operational work is operational work

IT Service Management is about the lifecycle from the initial drafting of the project to the operaitonal initiaition and of course the eventual closure.

Agile is a project / development philosophy / framework / etc whihc will butt heads with operations

DevOps tries to reduce that

but Operationas is Operations and must run to what impacts the business

NOTE: Nothing wrong with two distinct tools as long as there in a intreface twix the tool

I agree with UKVIKING

there is no problem with two interfaces but they have to be interlinked, not only in project work but also in Problem Management Terms. Some of the project work should include technical debt which should be problems, how this is address should be within the two interfaces and feed into each other otherwise you fighting a losing battle with problem management
