CI Attributes that assists Incident Management

Please accept my apologies if this has already been asked elsewhere, I could not find at a quick glance and thought I will post it as a new post.

I am in the process of implementing CMDB at my organization. During requirements gathering, I asked folks what CI attributes would help them perform Incident Management better and they have no idea. I have no idea either. I know the books teach us theory and tell us to do what is "needed" from organization standpoint but am stuck here and looking for someone to kind of help me with how it works else where.

What kind of CI attributes would help Incident management process? is there even such an attribute?
