Hi, I recently became certified at Foundation level and subsequently my employer has requested that I draft a new ITIL Framework. Scary stuff!!
I therefore thought that it would be a good idea to join this forum and to take a look around, gather opinions, etc before I think about my next steps.
In addition, I was wondering if anyone could draw on their experiences and give any advice about the initial steps in preparation of a basic high-level approach?
Any advice whatsoever would be gratefully appreciated.
Just certified and told to develop a ITIL Framework!!
First up... congrats on getting a killer opportunity! Not many people get to do this so lap it up.
Secondly and more importantly... Go for the Intermediate level at least!
Foundation just familiarizes you with the overall scheme of things. You need to dig deeper to find water here my friend!
My suggestion would be to start with a lifecycle phase you are most familiar with. Usually it is Transition or Operation for most of us. There is no hard and fast rule though.
