hello

any advices from experts on creating the best IT dept. structure (roles and teams) for an enterprise with hundreds of employees, hundreds of computer, dozens of servers.....

what i have now is:
IT administrators
IT support
Manager

Structure along the responsibilities - the disciplines, the technologies, locations, etc

And in accordance with the internal company management structure requirements - a manager has to have so many staff etc

There is nothing ITIL about this.
There is nothing IT about this
There is only management process about this

This is based on many factors, we can't know exactly.
You should write down your business need, IT need,IT asset, Policy, process.... from all of these information. You can decide how many IT department, how many team members need for each department.

Just be my thinking.
