Hello,
I am ITIL v2 foundation certified with 3 years experience in an IT company. During the 3 years, I have worked in Incident management, change management and release management. But now I am like jack of all trades and master of none!! Out of all these I find change management the most interesting and want to build a career in it. I am starting my job search now, as I have been a homemaker for a couple of years.
I want to know if ITIL v2 certificate is still credible, or the employers only prefer v3? Also, I have not used any specific tools for change management. Lotus notes databases and Excel were mainly used for change tracking. Will this go against me in an interview? I would like to mention here that working in the various ITIL processes has given me a very good understanding of how these processes relate and co-ordinate with each other.
Waiting for your suggestions/advice.

Well...I think it's V3 now, so you might need to consider the V3 certification.
What kind of tools to be used in process is a very small part, the key is your understanding of the ITIL.
