Hi All, was wondering if anyone can help me please. I currently hold the ITIL Expert certification and have 6+ years in ITSM and I am really keen to do the ITIL Master but I have been told I am unable to do this as I do not hold a "Management" position.

I find it difficult to believe that they can penalise someone who is more than capable of demonstrating the processes of ITIL and getting the certification and not be able to submit an application for this just because they are not in a “management” level position.

I am sure other companies are the same and you will have Analysts that may never reach a management position for one reason or another but are capable of achieving this certification as the reality is you have management / leaders that may not be interested in reaching this level.

Does anyone know if this is correct? or know how I could process this further?

The ITIL Master is for those individuals who have pushed IT SM - using ITIL - processes - outside of the day to day operation of ITIL

Go to LinkedIn and there are people who can answer it beter
