Hello - I am new to ITIL, and am studying the foundations stuff right now. Hopefully sit for the test at some point.
I understand a lot of the concepts, and can see how what we do within our company relates to pieces of the lifecycle. I see lots of post's on this forum about people who are saying the same things..
"I am new to ITIL, but where do I start, or how do I begin"
and then see the usual response of..
"Did you read any of the ITIL information? Did you learn anything from foundations?"
My question is related but not? Reading through all of these components that make up ITIL, like the KEDB, or Availability Management, or Service Portfolio..etc.
In my mind I'm envisioning TONS of folders with just tons of documents containing all of these things, and different people are accessing and updating these documents daily/as needed.
Is that really the physical infrastructure for supporting ITIL framework?
