Maintenance Scheduling

I am curious what software and processes Service Desks are using for maintenance management. Our Service Desk takes a lead role in coordinating maintenances between IT Teams. Right now we are utilizing both SharePoint and Outlook Calendars. We use SharePoint because we can build a specific list of questions that users must answer when entering in a maintenance into the calendar. We can then take that information and copy it to outlook and we use these methods for notifying our company. I guess I am hoping there are better options out there :D

The groups that should be doing this is Release & Change Management along with the Operations Management

You can use the TI SM tool if it has a the capability or use as you do SHARE Point etc
