I have several books about ITIL v3 that describe the problem management process including the phases "problem control" (root cause analysis) and "error control (finding the solution).
However, I found some postings in some forums where people say that "problem control" and "error control" were concepts from ITIL v2 and have been removed in ITIL v3, e. g. here.
How can this be explained and what is true?
