Hi All,
I have come across this situation for the first time, where I am being asked to get the RCA done on a P5 incident.
Is it logical to a RCA on the lowest priority incident ?
Thanks
RCA for Severity 5 Incident
There is a nothing wrong to do an RCA for low priority incidents. If your Client strongly believes that the issue re occurrence will have a Major impact or in case the senior stake holders are very much interested to have a RCA then its a mandate
In Proactive Problem Management you some times even do not have an incident and even then you work on a PM ticket to have a permanent solution in place to avoid incidents
Hope this helps . All the very Best !!!

Hi Kranti,
Thanks for the input.
I was asking this as it was one of the incident and we never noticed any kind of trend.
But yes you are right, there is no harm in knowing the root cause.
Thanks
